Vincennes: Sustainable Development Week

Vincennes: Sustainable Development Week
Bruitparif - 08/04/2011
For the Sustainable Development Week, Bruitparif was in Vincennes (Val-de-Marne) on April 2nd, 5th and 7th, 2011.
On Saturday, April 2nd, Bruitparif held a stand on the esplanade of the Town Hall. Vincennes people could then consult the noise maps of their town made for the 2002/49/EC European directive, observe in real time the results of a noise measurement point installed on the stand and take part in the MP3 player workshop in order to receive personalised advice on their music practices. A sound walk of about an hour was also organised in the course of the afternoon in the town of Vincennes.

On Tuesday, April 5th, and Thursday, April 7th, Bruitparif received 7 classes of fourth and fifth-years of primary school in the ballroom of the Town Hall. The children took part in entertaining experiments on the physics of sound, attended a pedagogical visit of Ademe’s “The decibels are calling” exhibition and found out how the MP3 player tests work.
