Reduction of air noise nuisances

Reduction of air noise nuisances
Live news - 30/06/2011
Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet announced on Wednesday, June 29th, the implementation in autumn 2011 of the 300-metre rise in altitude set up within the Grenelle of the Environment:
- for Paris-Orly,
- for the west configuration at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Le Bourget.
These projects received a positive response from the public enquiries, the different Environmental Consultative Commissions (CCE) and the Airport Nuisance Control Authority (ACNUSA) in June.

As for the east configuration at Paris-Charles de Gaulle, the project requires complementary specifications to take into account the responses of the CCE and the ACNUSA for a final decision in July.

At the same time, the insulation aid system will be strengthened for the next two years: impacted populations will have 100% of their insulation expenses paid for instead of 80% to 95% so far.

The Minister is considering several improvement ideas in terms of insulation: expansion of the geographic eligibility to benefit from insulation aids or extension to new types of premises (public buildings such as town halls, libraries, …), reduction of the waiting period for application processing, etc.
