Electric cars go with the current

Electric cars go with the current
Study - 19/12/2011
6000 Europeans, from ten countries (Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Turkey and the UK), were asked about their perception of electric cars for the survey published in December 2011 by the Cetelem Car Observatory.
71% of the respondents are interested by electric cars. Turks and Russians show strong enthusiasm (93 and 87%). On the contrary, 54% of the French are interested.

The “car that lets you breathe,” as one of the respondents puts it, wins everybody’s approval when Europeans are questioned on the topic of ecology. For them, driving an electric car helps save the planet… This opinion is widely shared by most Europeans. 84% are convinced of the benefits of electric cars as “best future solution for the environment”.

Regarding the lack of noise, which is a significant break from traditional vehicles, “testers” consider that it is both less stressful and good for the environment. Europeans share this feeling completely, even without having had the opportunity to try an electric car. 94% think that it is a good point for the sound environment, as this urban “pollution” is a curse for them. 73% also think that it will be one less source of stress. However, for 83% of the respondents, it’s a new element they will need to adapt to.
