The 24 hours of sound

The 24 hours of sound
Bruitparif - 29/09/2010
From October 4th to 8th, 2010, a class of first-years at the Junior High School of the Centre in Villejuif in Val-de-Marne is taking part in “The 24 hours of sound,” an event organised several times a year by La Muse en Circuit and Bruitparif.
The students attend presentations on the physics of sound, careers in the sound environment, how the ear works, the hearing risks related to amplified music... They also participate in an interactive workshop on sound recording and computer processing in order to create by themselves short pieces of electroacoustic music that might be used as a ring for their school. Concurrently, they write radio programmes dedicated to their new knowledge. They are recorded on the last day and available to the students on the website of “The 24 hours of sound.”
