Our missions
Develop a tool to characterise noise nuisances in Ile-de-France objectively so as to prioritise the various stakes and to best determine the actions to fight against noise: such is the will behind the creation of a noise observatory in Ile-de-France.
Measurements
To answer to the expectations of Ile-de-France inhabitants, who want objective elements to characterise the sound environment, and to help public authorities when they take decisions regarding road noise, rail noise, air noise, noise related to commercial, industrial and leisure activities... Bruitparif is setting up a complete system based on two complementary methodologies: measurement and modelling.
Awareness actions
In order to show the importance of the quality and the richness of the sound environment, to explain in an educational way what noise is and to inform of its effects on health, the teams are developing awareness actions aimed at the general public, and more particularly teenagers.
Support to public policies
For the sound environment to be taken into account when development, mobility and health policies are set up, Bruitparif offers its expertise and its technical means to the State, local authorities and infrastructure and transportation professionals.
